It’s amazing that internet users spend 42% of their time viewing content. Even more reason for businesses, brands, and bloggers to realize that Content is truly King!
I feel it is becoming increasingly important that we utilize the time we spend online engaging in social media on purpose. What I mean by this, is that while we network and improve our niche, we need to purposely stay focused.. Here are a just a few ways we can do that:

1. Make the Most of Facebook & Twitter- Start a Facebook Group of like-minded individuals in your niche. Post often ask questions and gather content rich information from one another. Sharing new, creative and best practices with each other on your group page will enhance your business.
2.Learn from others- Read.. Learn.. Absorb.. Apply – Find experts in your field and read what they have written about the business that you are in and learn from theses gurus. Let their methods become your best practices and start implementing them into your business. These guys have paid the dues for you and now you can reap from their lessons. Network on LinkedIn!
3. Continually follow blogs or brands that You can learn from-Here are some Social Media Blogs & online Experts in their field that I am learning from and closely following right now:
- Penn-Olson- Super rich content driven blogs written by the most creative team of young writers around. Vivid infographics, lively topics and totally worth visiting daily.
- Entrepreneur Magazine online- A leading source of all things Small Business. As a franchisee business owner, I so appreciate the updates on trends, management and fresh business news that they post. Great for retweeting!
- Hubspot Blog- These guys post really creative ways of looking at the right way to do business with each other. They emphasize awesome applicable topics to help move whatever business you are in forward toward success. Definitely a bookmark site.
Don’t forget that we must make the effort to take a break down our time into chunks to make ourselves more productive. ex: 8-10am gathering, 10-12pm- writing, lunch, 1-3pm updating, etc.. If you follow a daily pattern you create a habit and this will enhance your focus and allow you to be more productive in all that you do, so that at the end of the day you feel accomplished!
